Central and Tacoma Link Light Rail

Date: 04/1998 – 07/2001

Location: Tacoma, WA

Summary:

The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) proposed to build and operate the Central Link Light Rail with five stations serving major destinations and providing connections to regional and local bus services, commuter rail and to Amtrak. This federally funded project required an air quality analysis to estimate potential impacts on air quality from the proposed project and to demonstrate whether the project posed any adverse effects that would prevent it from meeting conformity requirements.
