Client: Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD)
Service Provided: Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment
Project Description:
We delivered a comprehensive noise and vibration study to evaluate the potential impacts of constructing a 1.79-million-gallon potable water tank, pipelines, and supporting infrastructure adjacent to sensitive residential and ecological areas. Our methodology included predictive modeling of equipment noise, vibration propagation analysis, and comparison to Riverside County thresholds. We developed an integrated mitigation plan featuring advanced mufflers, construction phasing to avoid peak community activity periods, optimized equipment placement, and barrier installations where necessary.
Benefits:
Our insights allowed EMWD to anticipate and minimize adverse effects proactively — preserving community relations and maintaining compliance with CEQA standards. The solutions improved constructability and maintained schedule integrity while enhancing the agency’s reputation for responsive, sustainable infrastructure delivery in growth-sensitive regions.
