Chartwell Warehouse – Noise & Vibration Study

Client: Private Developer

Project Description:
The Chartwell Warehouse project proposed a ±250,000-square-foot high-cube logistics warehouse within the Perris Valley Commerce Center Specific Plan area. The site, positioned near homes and sensitive biological resources, required detailed evaluation of construction and operational noise and vibration to mitigate impacts while accommodating regional logistics demand.

Services Provided: Noise & Vibration Impact Analysis

Solution:
Entech conducted long-term ambient noise monitoring and used FHWA TNM 2.5 and FTA Transit Noise & Vibration Impact Assessment guidelines to model truck movements, loading dock activities, rooftop HVAC equipment, and construction equipment noise and vibration. We identified that peak construction activities and truck circulation had potential to temporarily exceed City thresholds and recommended specific mitigations such as temporary barriers, restricted work hours, and equipment upgrades.

Benefits:
Our analysis provided a defensible basis for CEQA findings, allowing the project to proceed while protecting adjacent residents and habitat areas from excessive noise and vibration.
