Entech Northwest has been a long-term partner of Equilion Enterprises, assisting them with several expansion projects in response to the VOC leak detection portion of the Title V permit program.
Solution:
Entech Northwest provided the following results for the project:
Leak Detection Monitoring:Provided monitoring advice, as well as developed documentation and schedules for compliance requirements.
Title V Permit:Developed draft permit, updated Air Operating Permit applications incorporating new MACT standards and regulatory requirements, and worked with the Northwest Air Pollution Control Authority representatives to negotiate draft permit language for the EPA review.
Data Acquistion System (DAS):Modified the DAS monitoring software, processed field data from the logger, and performed error checking of calculated and reported SO2 averages from the upgraded DAS.
Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) Permitting: Developed PSD applications with air quality modeling (stack and cooling tower emissions) for several expansion projects, and addressed air-related comments from the review process.
Benefits:
Entech’s resources were a viable on-call extention of the Equilion Enterprises’ environmental department.
Plant expansions were accomplished.
Met the regulatory requirements in a cost-effective, timely manner.
