Project Description:
As a federally mandated mitigation under the NBCUniversal Evolution Plan, this project improved the US-101/Campo de Cahuenga interchange by adding ramps, lanes, and upgraded signals to relieve congestion near Universal City.
Service: Noise Study Report
Solution: We measured and modeled noise at 11 sensitive receptors using TNM 2.5, evaluated potential sound walls up to 16 feet high, and assessed compliance with FHWA/Caltrans NAC standards.
Benefits: Our expertise gave Caltrans and NBCUniversal confidence that planned improvements met federal noise requirements while enhancing traffic operations in a high-profile entertainment and residential corridor.
